TILLSONBURG - JULY 20, 2018- The Town of Tillsonburg congratulates Titan Trailers Inc on their acquisition of the 1 Clearview Drive and 3500 Highway 3 properties in the Town of Tillsonburg. The purchase of the approximately 50 acre site with 270,000 square feet of existing buildings will support Titan’s continuous growth in the area. The purchase of this property is in addition to a recent expansion at their Delhi location in Norfolk County.
“This is great news for both Titan Trailers and our community”, says Tillsonburg Mayor Stephen Molnar. “The expansion of Titan into Tillsonburg will create jobs for our residents while enabling Titan access to an expanded workforce”. “It has been exactly one year since this facility was closed and we are excited to see it being re-purposed by a local entrepreneur who has a strong track record of success”, he adds.
“The Town of Tillsonburg is focused on working with the private sector to support our growth objectives as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan”, says David Calder, Chief Administrative Officer for the Town, “and the work undertaken by our development and building team has been a key part of ensuring that we meet those objectives”.
Tillsonburg Town Council remains committed to attracting new industry and investment and has approved funding in the Town’s budget to invest in the Highway 3 Business Park, which is directly opposite from the properties being purchased by Titan. The Highway 3 Business Park offers sites from 3 to 30 acres and is open for development opportunities.
“The Town of Tillsonburg offers international companies like Titan a low cost business location”, says Development Commissioner Cephas Panschow. “Our value proposition is that companies can afford to invest in both their business and their own real estate. We look forward to helping Titan realize this value proposition, with support from the Ontario Government, here in Tillsonburg”, he adds.
