February 15, 2019 – For Immediate Release
The Town of Ingersoll is thrilled to be recognized at the 2019 Canadian International Autoshow in the Chevrolet exhibit. “Proudly Made in Ingersoll, Ontario” is prominently displayed on every Chevrolet Equinox at the Autoshow. Ingersoll is the home of the GM CAMI Assembly Plant where the Chevrolet Equinox is proudly built to a high quality of standard that our residents and General Motors work to achieve.
The Town of Ingersoll has evolved over the years from its agricultural roots to a recognized leading industrial and creative community. Ingersoll’s location has served it well being in the heart of Southwestern Ontario on major highways, train lines, and close to international airports and shipping ports. Our people are hardworking, dedicated, and community minded. The Town is experiencing unprecedented growth recently and the future is very bright for our Town, residents, and the GM CAMI Assembly Plant.
“We’re a GM Town. CAMI is a big part of our Town and has been for the past 30 years” said Ted Comiskey, Mayor of Ingersoll. “We feel a great sense of pride having General Motors as such a large part of our Town and seeing the thousands of Chevrolet Equinox vehicles head off to market.”
